Enneagram...

Anyone out there done the Enneagram Personality test? I find personality tests interesting from the standpoint of giving language to some of our experiences. They may not be scientifically valid, but they're an interesting glimpse into the metaphor of our existence. Here's a really simplified version of the test. I'm a Type 5, The Investigator. More accurate than I care to admit.

Fun.

Type 1 5
Type 2 3
Type 3 2
Type 4 0
Type 5 6
Type 6 5
Type 7 6
Type 8 4
Type 9 5

Thus, I am either an Investigator or Enthusiast, with some Reformer/Loyalist,Peacemaker mixed in.

Whee. I now have the answers to all my questions. ;)

Apparently I'm a tied Type 3 and Type 6. The Achiever and the Loyalist huh? :)

"but can also become defensive, evasive, and anxious—running on stress while complaining about it."

Talking to me before finals is like talking to "George-who-hates-you-every-day". :D

Type 1 3
Type 2 1
Type 3 6
Type 4 2
Type 5 5
Type 6 6
Type 7 3
Type 8 3
Type 9 4

That makes me an Achiever, a Loyalist and slightly less of an Investigator.

I've done a few of these kinds of tests before and the results seem pretty consistent. I think they are all based on Belbin's team roles: http://changingminds.org/explanations/preferences/belbin.htm

Type 1 - 3
Type 2 - 4
Type 3 - 3
Type 4 - 5
Type 5 - 5
Type 6 - 6
Type 7 - 3
Type 8 - 0
Type 9 - 7

So, it says I'm a 9 - the Peacemaker. With a hint of Loyalist mixed in.

What I find funny is that I've worn #9 in sports since I was 5 years old.

Love that synchronicity.
