Being Special...

I was randomly perusing blogs the other day. And I noticed something. There’s a lot of talented people on the planet. Writers, artists, photographers, musicians—creators galore! I used to think that creativity was the possession of a random few, a special elite. Not so. I believe we are all creators. I believe creation is an innate human need like eating or breathing. We need to create. We need to channel the divine into form.

When we abandon this notion of being special, there is a connectedness that happens. No longer needing to carve out a unique niche for our ego, we can honor the divine in each other. Namaste.

I'd rather go to the zoo than be special. :)

So true. The way I see it, the reason we all have a different way of looking at things is because we use our own intuitive history and creativity to include a new idea into our brains.

Everything we do is creative -- we had to be creative to learn to eat -- and all the many millions of ways to do so. Creativity was required to cook. Hell, any French food insists on being creative.

And yet, I still don't know how to define what creativity is. :)
Might just be my brain.. It's mush today.

I agree that creativity (among other qualities) is part of the human archetype, but I don't really believe that it is expressed as often as it should be.

It's true, the majority of society lacks the ability to express creativity openly, but it may be a social norm to not express it. However, I do insist that all humans have the capability - whether or not they want to is the defining factor.
